The routes through the beautiful landscape are diverse. Due to the mild climate in the sunny southwest, the bike season goes from spring to autumn. From Deidesheim you can cycle along the German Wine Route (symbol green grape and green bicycle on a white background) both in northern and southern direction through the largest contiguous wine-growing region in Germany. The managed forest huts invite you to stop off for a short walk through the vineyards or for a hike lasting several hours.
Fantastic views and historic places with many half-timbered houses and medieval castle ruins offers the hiking trail “Pfälzer Weinsteig”.
The trail German Wine Route (symbol green grape on a white background) offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Rhine valley. In the spring you can marvel at pink flowering clouds and blooming almond trees along the way.
The healthy climate of the vineyards and 90 km of signposted routes of various difficulty levels in the holiday region Deidesheim are ideal conditions for Nordic Walking.
 
 

 

 
The movement and meeting facility comprises four areas.
All generations can strengthen agility, coordination, stamina and strength in the movement course for everyone with selected equipment.
For the youngest (about 0 - 6 years) there is room for every kind of weather.
Schoolchildren (about 6 - 12 years) will love the natural play and exercise area.
In this place, the snail is integrated as the special element for Deidesheim.
Even for young athletes there is an area for skating and chilling.

Heated outdoor pool „Oasis in the Garden of Paradise“
Located in the middle of the vineyards, the swimming pool invites you for refreshment.
There are 5 lanes in the 25 m pool for sporty swimmers available.
There is also a separate non-swimmer pool.
For the little visitors of the pool the lifeguard holds all sorts of bath toys ready for free use.
In the separate baby paddling pool, even the youngest in the heated water have fun.
Also on the pool area guarantee beach volleyball and beach soccer field, boules court, adventure playground, table tennis u. v. m. diverse leisure activities a high fun factor.
The small restaurant rounds off the experience in the outdoor pool „Oase im Paradiesgarten“ with its summer-related drinks and ice cream specialties.
 

 

 
Recreation and adventure area in the heart of Deidesheim
The newly designed part of the palace grounds can be reached via Prinz-Rupprecht-Straße.

An 18 meter long „tree snake“ invites to balance exercises. Inverted world reigns with two trees, their roots in the air, while the trunk is in the ground. Obstacles from regional basalt rock, sandstone or wood from the “Pfälzerwald Biosphere Reserve” can also be found on the adventure golf course.
In general, great importance was placed on the use of regional materials in the design of the entire facility.
